eSIM Compatibility Guide
Before ordering your Bali eSIM, confirm that your phone supports eSIM technology. This guide covers iPhones, Android phones, and what to do if you are unsure.
What is an eSIM?
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built directly into your phone's hardware. Instead of inserting a physical SIM card, you activate a mobile plan by scanning a QR code. eSIMs let you keep your home SIM active at the same time, so you can still receive calls on your home number while using the Bali eSIM for data and your local +62 number.
How to check eSIM support on iPhone
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap General.
- Tap About.
- Scroll down and look for Available SIM or Digital SIM. If you see an EID number listed, your iPhone supports eSIM.
Alternatively: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM. If you see this option, your iPhone is eSIM-capable.
How to check eSIM support on Android
- Open Settings.
- Navigate to Connections (Samsung) or Network & internet (Google Pixel / stock Android).
- Look for SIM Manager, SIM card manager, or Mobile network.
- If you see an Add eSIM or Download a SIM option, your device supports eSIM.
You can also dial *#06# and look for an EID number in the result — EID confirms eSIM hardware is present.
