The big three all sell international roaming day passes for Indonesia — typically in the AUD 5–10 per day range with a daily data cap (check your carrier’s current rates). On a 10-day trip that is AUD 50–100 for capped data on your Australian number. A local eSIM plan for the whole trip usually costs less than three roaming days — with more data and a real Indonesian number on top.

The bigger catch isn’t price: roaming keeps your +61 number, and Gojek/Grab OTPs to a foreign number are unreliable. With a +62 number they just work.
